Do you guys fill out your funpass before you cruise on carnival? If so, what the advantage of doing this? do I just print them out and have them with me when i check in?

YES!!!! Fill it out online, print it, and bring it with you. It will save you from standing in line forever. I believe there is a separate line for people who have the Fun Pass completed, and that line moves faster.

sunshine, yes, fill out all of your paperwork in your funpass. We learned the hard way. It will hold up your embarkation process if you wait until you are in line. It's much easier if you have everything signed and ready when you step up to the counter.

In reality everyone has their fun pass with them and you will be in a line anyway.

The Funpass information is what the cruise line has to turn over to security in order for the ship to be cleared to leave. If everyone fills out their Funpass online it helps the cruise line get this information to security faster and ensures the ship to leave on time.
You will have to still stand in a line at pier for check-in. Whether it's the Funpass line or the regular line. But the lines have been going faster with online check-in.

cruise fanatic, you are absolutly correct. We did fill ours out on-line before we left home and it makes your embarkation much smoother.

When given the opportunity to complete check-in details on-line....just do it! It does make things much smoother at the pier. With both Carnival and RCI all we've had to do at the pier is give them our credit card to swipe (in a non-theft way) and let them see our passports. They hand us our cruise cards and we are gone. A minute, maybe two.
