Where are you cruising to? We've been on 8 in October and unless there's a storm the seas have been nice in the Caribbean. You can always visit the doctor on board, but Carnival does nothing about sea sickness. You can get patches, pills, bracelets, etc., from your doctor or buy ginger tablets (candy) from a health food store. Today's ships are so large you barely feel movement even in rough seas. Also, green apples help. Best wishes!
I've never cruised in October, but just wanted to say that I get easily motion sick, so I always get a prescription from my doctor for Transderm patches. They're wonderful! You change them every three days and they stay on, even in the shower and the pool.

I agree. Ginger from the health store works miraculously and it's natural and not a drug. We sailed in October last year and we found no problems with rough seas. I found the seas to be rougher in February. Debbie
Have always gone to Caribbean in October.
Whether we cruise or stay on an island. we go early Oct. grandchildren go to year round school and their fall break is the first two weeks of Oct. We have had beautiful weather every time. Did miss a hurricane by about 3 days and had to change an island once but always have had great weather.
Going this year Oct. 13. getting close.

has anyone been on a cruise in october how bad are the seas is it rough what does carnival do about sea sickness
The only Rough seas Ive come accross have been in February ..... as for what Carnival did for those that were sick then was Tape Barf bags all over the walls and elevators. it was great for those of us that didnt get sick... the casino was empty the dinningroom was nice and quiet, there was no kids running all over, it was a nice peacful cruise
I cruise every October since 2003 and it always includes my birthday (the 19th) I have absolutely never felt any more than one or two ship rocks in the four October cruises when they happend they were over within a few minutes. the seas have been clam for each of my October Cruises. I love October (go figure) for cruising.
Im going to cruise this October 13th as well for 8 nights on the Liberty.
