Haven't sailed on the Triumph. But, I can say that you should hit the piano bar. It can depend greatly on the entertainer in the bar, but we have had a great time on the last couple of cruises. Watch the Carnival Capers for when the bar will be "open" and check it out.

The other things to do are too numerious to mention. There is normally so much happening on a cruise that it is impossible to see and do it all.

My advice if you have cruised before is to try different things. Its really easy to get drawn into the "dinner- show - dancing " routine. It has taken us 5 cruises to figure that out.

I haven't sailed on the Triumph , But I did sail the Victory - an exact Sister Ship, the Glory - a larger ship of the Conquest Class, and the Fascination (twice).

Carnival always has a midnight Mexican buffet. If you have a late seating dinner, and you like mexican food, I would reccomend skipping your assigned seating that night (eat earlier in the lido buffet) otherwise you would be too full to enjoy.

Hi there, how was your trip? I am in the process of booking a trip on the same ship next September out of New Orleans with a large group of people. Please give me any tips and advise you may have.
Thanks!
Jennifer

I've cruised the Triumph twice. Never had a dull moment unless I just wanted to relax and meditate. My favorite things are running on sports deck, Visiting the many musical venues, steel band on lido, or inside in the bars. Read the Capers (daily newspaper) you will find Golf tip meetings, tournaments of different kinds, perhaps a bridge game or poker contest, Dance lessons. Be sure to go to the shows, and not just the big dance productions (which are marvelous) but the newly wed game, and knobby knee contest, or hairy chest. Do the scavenger hunt. Get serious about getting points for your ships colors. ( you will be on a team) One of my favorites is to go to the steam room and follow with the sauna. If you have not done this before be careful to not overdo it. Steam is real steam, it will take your breath away, 2 min is enough then go to dry heat in the sauna for 20 min. you will feel great, and this part of the spa is FREE.

We just got off the Triumph in the spring, and enjoyed it, first time on Carnival ship.

One thing I noticed that other cruise ships don't do/have as much, (you don't have to do any of this)they had "lots" of places/scenery to take pictures throughout the whole cruise. After the pictures are taken you can look at the pictures, and if you don't want them, they do not pressure you into buying them.

Just one suggestions on the photos...if you actually DO want to purchase them, buy them as soon as you see them and do not wait until later. On our cruise on Triumph, the photo gallery was terribly disorganized and the line got longer each day of the trip.

Thanks so much for the info. We have cruised on the Conquest, and I have looked that the Triumph deck plans to see what are similar and what are really different. The Triumph is the only "class" of ship on Carnival that we have not sailed.
