Transportation Suggestions

Hello!

I am new to cruising and was wondering if anyone has suggestions about transportation to and from Port Canaveral. My wife and I are flying into Orlando and would like to know if it is better to rent a car or take a shuttle to the Port. Thanks in advance!

I think it depends on if you are flying in early or flying and cruising the same day. we are cruising out of port canaveral in sept. we are flying in on friday and renting a car to port canaveral....taking the shuttle back on the return trip

I called ahead and made arrangements for a taxi service but it wasn't cheap it cost us $150 round trip, I don't know if there is something cheaper. Have a great time on your trip!

I would suggest if possible that you stay the night before at a hotel/motel where you can relax and be refreshed for your cruise next day and also many hotels will offer a shuttle service to the port.

If I were flying in on the day of the cruise I'd simply buy the bus transfers with Carnival. They are reasonable and they do a good job.

Same Day transfers from the cruise line is the way to go...they are right there and a better buy....Happy Sailing.....

I agree with the others, if it's the same day of the cruise I'd go with the Carnival Transfers.

Why does it have to be the same day? We fly down a day early go to the hotel that offers free shuttle from airport. Next day go back to the airport and get on a carnival shuttle.. Thats what we have done before.

Because they don't have enough people coming a day early to offer this, and they can't drop people and luggage off at a cruise terminal when the ship isn't there.

Just guessing.
