Thanks all!!! I have read about the refurbishing and I was thinking that most likely will take care of any of the "bad" things people have posted about...I also took into account that people are most likely to post negative compared to positive comments, so I wasn't too worried, I just needed to hear from someone who recently went on her. We all are truly excited and I really can't wait!! Work has slacked since all we talk about is our Cruising plans

If you read a lot of reviews on the ship you will learn volumes of info to help you. Enjoy.

My favorite ship is any Spirit class ship. It has all the amenities of the Conquest class (except no fishNchips) without the walking or the extra passengers.

I am 51, female, I don't gamble, and not a big drinker.

I love karaoke and I try to avoid smoke as much as possible.

Look at the ports but don't let that be the only reason you book a cruise, because (as we all know) weather or mechanical problems can cause ports to change or be missed altogether.

The 4 Spirit class ships are the Legend, Miracle, Spirit and Pride. And basically there are 2 that sail out of the West Coast and 2 out of the East Coast.

Congrats on winning a freebie!!! And have a wonderful cruise.

mommatee-

I think you make a very good point about the smaller ships being more personable. That's what makes the ships running about 70,000 tons so nice. There are not so big as to lose the personable touch and not so small as not to have the ammenties of a larger ship. Our first cruise was on the Fantasy and I think that was just about right. Although that has not kept us from sailing on the big ships either (Going to try a Voyager class ship next summer)

LHP,

I want to give a good

I love Spirit Class too. Hopefully we will get some Fish n Chips soon

We are totally opposite, I am Male, I Drink, I Smoke, I Gamble.

We got one thing in common, we love The Spirit Ships, and our Fish n Chips

Best Regards,
IslandCruz

What's this about the Conquest and Fish n Chips? I love a good Fish n Chips and I don't remember seeing them on the Conquest!!

Dang.. see, that's the problem with the bigger ships.. there is SO much to space, that you don't see everything...

Don't feel bad Jim. A lot of people miss the Fish & Chips. That is why I always recommend the first thing anyone does when they get on a ship is to take a tour of the ship from top to bottom. The Fish & Chips is on the second level of the buffet dining area.

I just read this on another forum. I will head there first thing...
Yes, I did go to the Fish and Chips bar, it's called Sur Mer, and it's on deck 10, right above the Lido buffet.

Fish and chips and freshly made, as is Bouillabaise. At peak times it can get a little crowded and a small line forms, but it's worth it. You'll have a great time on the Conquest.

It's above the Cezanne Lido Buffet. there are two stairs that go up from the middle, in front of the buffet line in the aft. There you find what can be considered the 2nd floor of the buffet restaurant, or Sur Mer.
