Thanks all!!! I have read about the refurbishing and I was thinking that most likely will take care of any of the "bad" things people have posted about...I also took into account that people are most likely to post negative compared to positive comments, so I wasn't too worried, I just needed to hear from someone who recently went on her. We all are truly excited and I really can't wait!! Work has slacked since all we talk about is our Cruising plans
I think you make a very good point about the smaller ships being more personable. That's what makes the ships running about 70,000 tons so nice. There are not so big as to lose the personable touch and not so small as not to have the ammenties of a larger ship. Our first cruise was on the Fantasy and I think that was just about right. Although that has not kept us from sailing on the big ships either (Going to try a Voyager class ship next summer)

Don't feel bad Jim. A lot of people miss the Fish & Chips. That is why I always recommend the first thing anyone does when they get on a ship is to take a tour of the ship from top to bottom. The Fish & Chips is on the second level of the buffet dining area.
I just read this on another forum. I will head there first thing...
Yes, I did go to the Fish and Chips bar, it's called Sur Mer, and it's on deck 10, right above the Lido buffet.
Fish and chips and freshly made, as is Bouillabaise. At peak times it can get a little crowded and a small line forms, but it's worth it. You'll have a great time on the Conquest.
It's above the Cezanne Lido Buffet. there are two stairs that go up from the middle, in front of the buffet line in the aft. There you find what can be considered the 2nd floor of the buffet restaurant, or Sur Mer.
