We are booked in an outside cabin on the Riviera Deck (Deck 1) on the 9/4 sailing. We had hoped for an uprgrade but apparently it isn't going to happen. On all other cruises we've taken, our cabins were on higher decks. Would appreciate any comments/feedback from anyone about cabins on this deck, ie. noise, views, etc.
Joe the cabins on Riverea are identical to the cabins on the other decks. Being lower means you will not feel as much motion, and at times you can probably get the elevator while those on the higher decks have to wait, because by the time it gets to them its already full. No difference, just a couple decks lower. As far as the views same as the above just a little closer to the water..you are still at least 20 ft above the water line.
Have you already gotten your cabin assignment? Did you purchase a guarantee or a cabin assignment?
As Carol pointed out, If you did not book an assigned Cabin you have every chance and probability of being assigned a higher deck. I personally prefer to pick my Cabin. Which did you do? OK..Laymans terms..Did you pick a Cabin or They give you a Cabin number? If not you will probably be upgraded to a higher deck. They will not release Cabin assignments untill the Ship Berthed for that sailing.
If you know your Cabin Number that is the Cabin you will get.
