Coupons from other Cruise Lines ?

Ofcourse... a couple of days after booking our Carnival Cruise we received a coupon from Princess for a $200 shipboard credit if we book before September 25th.

Soo... just wondering if other cruise lines will consider meeting that offer? Worth a try? lol

You can call your agent and see if they can match that special, but chances are the other cruiselines will tell you that they do not have that special going on at this time. You can try telling them that you will cancel and book with Princess but I doubt that will help.

A couple of options:

1. It looks like you are still outside of "penalty" to cancel or change your booking and not be assessed any penalties. So you should be able to cancel with CCL and book with Princess to take advantage of this promo.

2. Call Princess first though. Verify that they sail from San Juan for the itinerary you want. Princess is a sister company of Carnival, but they operate as separate entities.

From what I understand, this promo you received from Princess is not valid on anyone but them. Carnival might not even accept it, but who knows. It doesn't hurt to find out. Call Princess see about their itineraries, ask about the promo coupon rules, transferrability, etc.

This is good advise Billy, but before I cancelled my cruise with CCL I would check the price with Princess with the $200.00 shipboard credit vs the price of CCL and see if there will be a savings for you. Might cost you more in the long run, plus you might not get the itinerary you are looking for.
