We are planning a trip on the Glory. Does anyone know if the pool water is salt or not?

Yes- it is salt water. Or at least it has been on the 3 cruises that I have taken.

As far as I know All Cruise Liners use salt water for all their pools and out door Jacuzzi.
TheY do have shower facilities next to all pools/jacuzzi therefore you can rinse the salt of your skin. Pool water is very clean. Germs do not leave in salt! HAPPY SWIMING

I may be wrong but i think all the Carnival ships have the saltwater pools now.

Thanks for the info. When we sailed RC in 2004, the pool water was not salt, didn't know if the new Carnival ships had followed suit...

do you mean royal caribbean? if so, which ship were you on that had clorinated water?

Let this thread stand as a reminder to all: BRING CONDITIONER. On my last cruise I didn't bring enough. I also brought a too-small hair brush. The ship hair dryers are pretty weak and require much more drying than usual. Result: frizzy hair to say the LEAST. If you have long hair bring a smooth paddle brush, intensive conditioner (the complimentary creme rinse won't cut it) and some kind of glossing creme...

I was on a Carnival cruise that had an awesome slide... into a salt water pool. That, combined with the wind and sun, made my hair look like a broom!

Princess has all freshwater pools. One thing to note is even those using seawater, such as Carnival, use chemicals to sanitize the pools.

Carlena you going again??? just got back from a cruise didn't you?? lol yes we to we went in jan on Miracle and came home and booked for April 8th ecstasy, I have gone MAD I eat and drink and plan for my next one after this one lol I live to cruise now!!
