Babydoll, I am booked and I booked directly with Carnival. I was looking at their website and trying to look up our cruise and noticed our itin was not on there. That's how I found out. It was a little dissapointing because the two ports that they changed, we were looking forward to. They changed it to two ports that we have already been to.

Rissa,
That itinerary change without notice seems very odd! Did you contact the person whom you made your reservations throught with Carnival?
I know when we had an itinerary change last year, our TA informed us right away, and even gave us so much time to cancel the cruise if we chose to do so because of the itinerary change. Our itinerary change happened to have worked out for the better, because we had never been to the port that they were substituting over Cozumel (hurricane damage to cozumel was the reason for the change in ports)
I would contact your carnival rep. and get some questions answered.

I emailed my PVP when I found out and he just said yes it changed and here's the new itin. I then asked why the change and why no notification and he never answered. We still have time to cancel. We are looking at other cruised but are unsure of what to pick. Thanks for the feedback.

Rissa,
Glad to hear that Carnival is giving you the option to re-book due to the itinerary change! Good luck with your new cruise search, I know how involved they can be to find that perfect cruise.....you will enjoy what ever ship you choose!

Rissa the reason they said they changed was people were wanting to stay overnight in a port. I have my doubts on that as the port that was chosen wasn't, in my book, the best. They decided to make the Destiny the first one to change and see how it goes...just my luck. In the grocery line it seems like the tape always run out when its my turn to checkout too. Like you I was looking forward to St Lucia, and Antigua for the beaches. I'm still looking into whats in store before I throw out the ship with the dishwater. When you look at they took the day at sea out, but traveling from Kitts it is a day at sea. The only thing is getting into LaRomina at 3:00 pm lets out any excursions but one which is the Mandela Show. That is unless you want to hit the town bars which I don't. Not into that so a little disappointed there. I can re-book and have time to decide that down the road, still searching. For you going to where you had been is a real let down, but for us we haven't been to any of them so anything is new, just wanted the great beaches that is being left out.
