Which cruise is better for people in their 20's?

Carnival has the reputation of being a party ship. We love Royal Caribbean and we see a lot of young people there. I would steer clear of Holland and Celebrity.

Thanks Marian! The Triumph sales for 7 days to San Juan, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten. The Imagination sails for 5 days to Grand Cayman Island and Ocho Rios (Jamaica). Out of those two, which do you think would have more people in their 20's (as opposed to families with small children)?

I have not been on either ship so take my advice with a grain of salt. It looks like both ships are rated four stars out of five. The Triumph was built in 1999 and the Imagination was built in 1995. The Triumph goes to places I love, the Eastern Caribbean. The fun of going so far south on the globe was a thrill for me. With the disclaimer that I have no experience with either ship, even though it is a little more expensive due to the extra two days, I'd vote for the Triumph.

I think you probably should read the reviews of both ships on this site, so you'd be hearing from people who have actually traveled on the ships.

Whatever you choose, I'm sure you are going to have an amazing time.

Marian is right, you should read cruise reviews. Triumph is a bit bigger ship, but otherwise they are similar.

It won't make any difference which itinerary you are on, as far as the age range goes. What will matter is the timing, to some extent. Carnival usually has a broad range of ages, from families with children to young adults to older couples. If you are looking for more young adults, I'd go for the shorter (3- or 4-night) cruises and aim for spring break. Even then, the old "party boat" image is changing.

That said, you will still have a great time on either Carnival or Royal Caribbean.

The itinerary won't matter, as far as the age range is concerned. Carnival appeals to a wide range, from families with children to young adults to older couples, as does Royal Caribbean. You might find a slightly higher percentage of young adults on the shorter (3- and 4-night) cruises than on the weeklong ones. That said,you will probably find a good number of young adults on Carnival and Royal Caribbean, as Marian said. I second her suggestion to read cruise reviews (http://www.cruisereviews.com is a sister site to this one, BTW).
