Carnival Spirit

I just got a notice from my TA for a 7 day Alaska Cruise on the Carnival Spirit for $499 with Air...I've been on 19 cruises but never a Carnival ship...Would like some additional input from anyone that has sailed on the Spirit...most of the reviews make it a no brainer...but some thoughts from the force out there would be appreciated...Thanks much...

Are you sure that $499 includes air? I've seen some pretty low fares for inside cabins on Carnival Spirit's 9/3 Alaska departure - but not including air! (If it really does include air, would you be willing to hook me up with your TA as we're in the process of booking an Alaska itinerary for September right now.)

Sorry Bob, I'm also a sceptic here. I can't see how that pricing can include the air. I hope it's right, if so you've got yourself an incredible value!

I can't see that including air.

But if you are correct, I would jump on it.

That is one great deal.

The In Laws sailed on Princess for 7 days to Alaska with air (interior cabin) for $2,300.00 back in 2001 and I thought that was a great deal.

Bob is correct. That is the cruise price including air. If I had the time, I would be on the same cruise as him.

You can't go wrong with the Spirit. Book it. It's my favorite Carnival ship. That price is amazing.

After much head scratching I dicided to search a little. August 27th has the best rates right now and the best promo is definately the military rate. Combining that with very good rates on air, I now see how it would be possible if not for the open jaw flights needed. One way air to Anchorage and an international flight from Vancouver to MSP? Bob, I gotta know if you book this and the rate you were quoted is legit. Something just doesn't add up.
