We're going on the carribean cruise in Jan. 07, and I'm just curious on a few things. We've always done the all-inclusive resorts, so this is the first time cruising for us. I'm sure we will order drinks from the bar, but to lower the cost....can you bring on liqour bottles, or is it best to be them in plastic water bottles (in your luggage ofcourse). I also heard a rumour, that you're allowed 2 bottles of wine each to bring on. Would that be in your carry on, or would you litterally carry it on, to show them you have it.
Any other useful hints would be great! What to do for fun, where to go at night, that kind of stuff.

I don't think you can bring liquor on board but I may be wrong. As for what to do at night the shows put on by the ship are usually pretty good. The casino if you like that sort of thing. I hope that helps a bit and I was just wondering what ship your on because i might be able to help you a bit more.

Greetings Kecher and welcome to cruise-chat. You'll find the answer to most all of your questions within the postings, but to some it up...once you get on the ship, get familiar with the layout, pace yourself and try everything! You aren't supposed to bring liquor aboard, but I have never had a problem bringing some along in my checked luggage. They will allow you wine in your carry-on for sailing away. When you check in, and each day, you will receive a "newsletter" that will list all activities and their times and locations. Don't sweat the details and overplan..everything will come together nicely once you get aboard!!

If you are looking to "sneak" your liquor on board it is best to put it in water bottles. I assume you will be taking white liquor,
