Just a little curious I haven't heard of the norvirus on a Carnival cruise line do they do something different than RCCL. This statement just came from a co-worker, I myself don't follow this that closely.

It has happened. Nothing lately that involved similar number of people, but every cruise, someone comes down with it. (Or similar illness, maybe they drank the water in Cozumel or something?)

Every cruise line keeps track of cases reported to them (and I'm sure many cases they don't know about because the passengers don't always go see the doctor)

There was an outbreak on Carnival Liberty on her Trans-Atlantic last month, and a second one the week later which delayed her November 19 sailing.

See how quickly these stories fade from the news? Here there was a similar thing on Liberty last month and I didn't even remember it. You would think the news reporters would include that little tidbit in the articales about the Freedom. but no...

Even more frustrating is that last weekend there was an outbreak at a senior citizen's home in Berkely CA. 80 odd people diagnosed and the uninformed twit on the local TV news had the nerve to say that Norovirus is found predominantly on cruise ships...

I would have had to email that "uninformed" twit and tell them to get their facts straight if they are going to call themselves a reporter.

I did find it interesting that on another board (RCCL) that someone had posted major outbreaks for RCCL were 9 (which was the most) and Carnival (and 3 other cruise lines) only had 1.

I would have thought that Carnival would have had more than that.

I don't let if affect me one way ot the other.
If it happens, it happens!!

Actually,

Dave told us about it before it was reported on national news.

Maybe it was just RCL's turn in the spotlight?

It was not "NEWS" as reported. Just CNN or FOX trying to put out "sensational" 3 day old news for ratings.

IMHO,
