I just talked to Carnival and they have changed the policy again. They are allowing drinks again, just don't take a case of Dr. Pepper on board. He said they only changed it for 2 weeks and to many people were complaining so they changed it back. Good News for us that drink Dt. Dr. Pepper!!

Yes, that trial balloon was shot out of the air in record time! Some reasonability needs to be injected into all the personal beverage policies of the mainstream lines.
|
However, easily solved by drinking what is available for free. If you're really jonesing, then purchase one ashore. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...on_biggrin.gif

So, just to clearify, you CAN take soft drinks on now?? My DH likes Mt. Dew, I think Carnival only has Coke products??, and we were planning on taking a 6 pack with us in our checked luggage, this will be ok, right?
|
Yes. Really, a 6-pack each should be fine. I'd probably just bring it in a carry-on.

Dave,
I booked my cruise today and my CC told me if we took a 6 pack of drinks to pack it in our checked luggage. Not sure what her reasoning was. Dee |
P.S.
Dave thanks sooooo much for helping me with my ticker!! (And also thanks again for the tip abut the Raddison Resort at the Port. Dee |
Dee,
Thanks! We are here to help people. |
Yep, I will be carrying my 2 - 12 packs on!!
I would not recommend anyone pack them in the checked luggage due to the rough handling and amount of pressure exerted on this luggage as it is stacked in the bins. Yeah....I can drink my "off brand" on vacation. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...on_biggrin.gif |
Yeah, if it is allowed then who cares whether it is in checked or carry-on? Carry-on ensures it won't break open and ruin all the clothes in the checked luggage.
