Has anyone done just the Dig at the Atlantis recently? I am wondering if it is wheelchair friendly. Carnival's shore excursions to Atlantis don't include one for just the Dig, but I saw where you can just get a ticket from the front desk at the resort for $29 pp and visit the Dig.

Here is an excerpt from the Disney Cruise Line website regarding their Dig tour...

"Wheelchairs need to be standard size and collapsible; no electric wheelchairs permitted. Guests must be able to board and debark the bus or mini-van on their own."

Also this, which implies you might have to collapse the wheelchair in a few places and walk through some narrow spaces:

"This excursion is stroller accessible. However, some portions of the tour may require Guests to fold accompanying strollers."

Thanks, Dave! I have been to Nassau so many times and never visited the resort except for the casino a couple of times. Figured it was time to do something else while there.

What is the "dig"? Been to Atlantis twice.

We were there this past November and did this. It was pretty amazing...loved it!!
