I was reading in currents last night about the Gold S&S cards but they said it wouldn't be out till this Summer the website says this:• Past Guest Recognition Program - features special Gold and Platinum Sail & Sign cards for returning guests. Cards will give entrée into the exclusive cocktail reception held for returning guests (5 day or longer cruises) and help alert ship's staff to your exceptional status.

HAS anyon returned from a cruise yet that got the gold or plat S&S?

The information I received from Carnival indicated that this program has not started yet. I'll keep you posted if I hear anymore.

Cool! Thanks for the update - did a lot of people seem to have the Gold S&S Card?

Yes, alot of people did have the gold S&S card. It was quite the talk on the boat for the 1st day or 2. One of the crew members told me that on my next cruise I would have a different color. If it is platnium, I don't know. So basically the way that I see it is, if you are a past cruiser with Carnival, your next cruise you will get a gold card. Then the next one, you will get a different color, and so on.

Hmmmm,
David do you think that was one of Carnival's sneaky ways of preventing just that, under the guise of being a perk for the passengers?????

Carnival probably realized they had more repeat cruisers on their first cruise than true first time cruisers. I usually travel on a cruise line once or twice, preferring to try all the lines than having loyalty to just a couple. Having just completed our 29th cruise, we have been on many different ships. Back in the 60's, crashing a wedding reception was the craze, and I still miss those days. But in defense of the true repeat cruisers, I can see where they want that respect.

Of course, the card would be good for both the early and late seatings, as well?
