Have any of you ever stayed on the Panorama Deck on the Valor (or any other ship, for that matter). I see that part of it is the pool area, and part of it is a cabin area. I assume that the cabins are separated from the outside area by doors, no?

I just found out we were upgraded from an 8A to 8E on our cruise, and I'm thinking this might be a great deck. . . .Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Chris

Chris,
I would think you would like this deck. It should be quiter than some of the lower decks. Plus you are only one deck away from running to get your first cup of coffee in the morning. (Unless you get room service.) Yes there are doors.

Thanks, CF. I was assuming that they separated the cabins from the rest of the deck with doors of some sort. . .

>>Plus you are only one deck away from running to get your first cup of coffee in the morning.<<

And that is quite important!! The sad thing is that I NEVERdrank coffee until I moved to Nashville. . . Now I love a cup in the morning. . . OH, well!

One more question. . . .Do the balconies on that particular deck have overhangs?

Thanks,
Chris

We stayed in a cabin on the Panarama Deck on the Miracle. The good part is you are the highest passenger cabin deck, which I liked. The bad part is that we were AFT, and directly under the casuel restaurant. I literally could walk out my door and about 10 steps were the stairs. The entrance to the restaurant was right beside the stairs on the floor above us. Forget sleeping late, it sounded like elephants running above us during breakfast.

Thanks, Spyder! I didn't think to check what was above us until you mentioned it. Luckily, we're below the spa, so we should be okay.

Take that upgrade and run Chris. There are only limited # of cabins on that deck, so that might cut down on noise. The only draw-back is that the Gym and Camp Carnival are above you on the Spa and Sun decks respectively. I would still take the upgrade. Check out the deck plan. http://www.carnival.com//Deck_Plan.a...=VA&deckCode=P

Oh, Billy, believe me, I took it. My last upgrade was to the Verandah Deck. I'm glad that I held out a little longer for this one.

I had checked the deck plans before. It looks like the sauna and steam rooms are right above us. YAY!!

Thanks!

We also were upgraded from and 8A to and 8E on the Panorama deck for our cruise coming up in November. The only drawback I understand is that the balconies are only around 30 square ft as opposed to decks 6-8 which have balconies from 40 - 60 sq. feet. But as long as I can sit on my balcony and have coffee in the morning and enjoy my hubby I am fine.
