There isn't much difference between the two ships (or any of the Carnival ships for that matter) in the way of nightlife. Focus on the itinerary of the cruises and pick the one that you would like to try the most. The ship will take care of itself.

As far as the length of the cruise goes, there are many opinions on that. I personally think that you need a minimum of a 5 day cruise to call it a true vacation.

Oh, and WELCOME to cruise chat!

The Glory would be good. We were booked on that ship for Nov 3 BUT due to a glitch that the TA made I lost my cabin and the ship was full. We had 8 cabins booked. I was the one who made all the arrangements and I was the one left with no cabin as the ship was sold out. They could not guarantee me that a cabin would come available and told me the wait list was extensive. This ship was sold out almost 6 months in advance.

We changed to the Valor and I was quite dissapointed but we had no choice. I am now looking forward to this great cruise. Of course cabins did come available on the Glory. There is some big reading convention on this particular cruise you are considering just so you know.

Come join us on the Valor. We sail on Nov 4.

Our first cruise was on the Celebration to the Bahamas. Believe it...4 days went like that...it was a bummer to be going back so soon. The ship was really nice, had a great cruise director and the only quasi disappointment was Freeport.

Hi I say Glory...specialy now when they change one of the runs and they put Key West and a late sail from Nassau. The ship looks good and the staff on board is great,is one off the most popular ships in the fleet when comes about repeaters!
Like class those 2 u think about are the same,my advice is check the run see what it is and get the one u like it better!
About the first timer are some things u should now about cruising in such a big floating city!I'm sure that the people here are going to be more then happy to help u out.If there is anything i can do just let me know.
Ciao...and wish u have a great time on board.
Me.

Yikes, Jim. That scares me. Holiday was all about southern country: Doc Holiday's Bar, Country and Gospel entertainment in the Americana Lounge. Dance class offered was Country Line-dancing. Why shucks, even the slot machines in the casino had country themes. The only place that didn't assume we all lived on a farm was Reflections which was rap/hip-hop only. I wonder if they have Linedancing on a cruise out of Miami?

Do you think the Inspiration out of Tampa will be that way? The decor and the geographic location of the port would seem to cater to a more cosmopolitan crowd, I had hoped. I'm getting a sick feeling in my stomach.

I didn't mean to slam the little sweetheart so badly. I still had a good time. I make my own fun. It's all about perspective. I enjoyed the country show for the efforts of the production, and to see Steve Cassell play the violin. But I would have probably enjoyed a more Follies Bergere type production. I wanted to forget about Alabama, but was reminded 'round every bend. I spent the better part of my days on the aft pool/Lido. I enjoyed the company of everyone I met. And made some very good friends with a couple from Orlando.

I will cruise the Holiday again because she is so close to home...very convenient and cheap. She serves a purpose. But I am still looking for the perfect ship...for me.
