Drink costs on Valor

What can we expect to pay for mixed drinks and beer on board? Also I heard you can pre-buy drink tickets from Carnival. If so, how much do you save and is it worth the trouble?

Welcome to cruise-chat jayallen, sorry just saw this posting and see that nobody has answered as of yet.

The drink prices on Valor along with just about all the Carnival ships run the same. Most bar drings range from $4.00 upwards depending on if you purchase bar brands or premium brands of liquer. Carnival has a drink of the day which is some type of fruity type of rum punch drink. These are usually around $6.95 each but you do keep the plastic glass it comes in. You usually can get the same glass refilled for a discount. Or you can order the drink of the day in a regular glass for about $4.95 each. Beer is around $3.50 upwards depending on type of beer. Glasses of wine usually run approximately $6.00 each. Keep in mind that there is an automatic 15% gratuity added to each drink order.

You can prepay for drink coupons. They are 4 for $19.50 I do not know if that is for any drink but averages about $5.00 per drink. My dughhter foes it just so she can cut down on her sign and sail bill. As for the daily special drinks in the souvenier glasses just tell them you have enough souvenier glasses and they will give it to you anyway and just charge you the refill price.

I don't seem to be able to spell. That should have said....My daughter does it just to cut down on her sign and sail bill. You can order them off of carnivals website and they will be delivered to your stateroom.
