Hey tncruiseman,
While we had a great time on all of the cruise ships that we were on and the service was great on all of them, I would have to say that the Caribbean Princess was defintely the best out of all 3, then the Miracle, then the Grandeur. On a "numbered rating system" I would say Caribbean Princess rated a 5, Carnival Miracle rated a 4.5, and the Grandeur a 3.5 - 4. To be fair, I would not totally dismiss Royal Caribbean, we were on the Grandeur in March, during spring break and a norovirus outbreak -- so there were alot of things cancelled, ie. Midnight Gala Buffet, midnight deck party, etc. and the ship was pretty crowded with college students. (was o.k. for me and my husband, but my teenage son was a bit intimidated around the pool, as was my younger son). The food on the Princess was definitely the best hands down. They had Alaskan King Crab legs, lobster claws, jumbo shrimps on the buffet a couple of nights, not just formal night and they present their food much more artistically. The food on tyhe Miracle and the Grandeur rated basically the same. The entertainment was pretty much the same on all of the ships. I found the bedding and room size, and bathroom size the best on the Carnival Miracle. I liked the indoor pool facility best on the Royal Caribbean. Princess and the Grandeur had the best discos. The service on all 3 ships were fantastic and everyone was extremely friendly.
