Well, unfortunately, I am back on this side of the vacation - HOME! We did the Western Carribbean from 5/14-5/21. A complete review will be posted on cruise reviews.com soon.
Answers to many of the questions I and others had:
BRING BOOZE? I used grape propel bottles and brought 2 of them on board with Capt Morgan. Only used 1 plus a little. why? Too much hassle. So yes, you can do it but it is just so easy to get it at the bar.
5 TO A CABIN? No problem. We had cabin 1235 Riviera deck. 1 king, 1 sofa sleeper, 1 upper and a rollaway on the floor. 3 adults and 2 kids. No problem at all. You spend so little time in your room that it was not a problem. What about the shower? See the next question.
SHOWERS? When we were crunched for time, I and sometimes my wife would go to the spa. Lockers with keys are available and the showers up there ROCK!
FOOD? Nothing short of perfect! We had a conversation with a Sr. Officer and I commented on how I loved the Indian food they had thus far. For the rest of the cruise (4 nights) we had special curry dishes prepared for us at dinner that were not on the menu. SUPERB!
The boat is great. No serious wear and tear and the crew works nonstop on it. Great entertainment (except one comedian kinda sucked). Cruise director Chris was great and very funny.
Overall, while I have nothing to compare to, it was awesome. See my post on how we did TULUM and STINGRAY CITY on our own for MUCH LESS in the excursions section.
