I just got off the Inspiration March 22 and had a terrible time.
The show "El Caribe" is like watching American Idol reject show.
The choices on the Lido Deck are very limited. There is a sandwich station in the middle of the Lido Deck and their choices are also very limited.
The gift shop is very limited in clothing selections for people who wear a large or higher. There are no white sports socks, so if you forget your's, your out of luck.
My cabin steward spoke very little English and I had to end up calling the Purser's Desk.
Niknak...don't believe everything you read. The shows are VERY good. What show did that guy see? And who goes on a boat to eat on the Lido deck? Go to the dining room and get waited on! If you want a little snack go to the Lido deck. And he said there's nothing on the Lido Deck?? What about the best Pizza on the seas?? Take these reviews with a grain of salt...and have a great cruise!!
I was on the Inspiration this past January. We went to Mexico and the Cayman Islands. It was our first Carnival cruise. We had a good time and the food was good wherever we ate it, morning, noon or night.Try to do the dining room dinners,it's fun for those (like me) who don't have the opportunity at home to experience this type of spoiling. The rooms (oceanview) were good, always clean! All the folks that work on the ships are from other countries,I haven't seen any that didn't at least speak some English. I think it adds to the crusing flavor and excitement! Have a fun cruise..It's really what you make out of it. didikay@comcast.net
Oh I forgot the shows! We saw the last part of one show as we didn't want to take away from our winning in the casino! What we saw was exciting. It was a dance review, similar to Vegas. Also the talent shows that they have are fun to watch. didikay
We just got off the Inspiration this past week and I hate to admit it, but we really did not enjoy it at all. The food was not very good (in the dining room), the service was very unfriendly. I am chalking my experience up to the fact that it is spring break and maybe they just weren't up to par from exhaustion. I did notice several crew members were not feeling well (we had a visit to the infirmary...no fault of carnival's just our own dumb luck of my son hitting his head on the bunk bed, which could have happened anywhere)so maybe they were even a little understaffed at times. If I were to sail with Carnival again, I'd try a different ship or at the very least a different week! LOL! Steph
First, I am a female. Second, this was my 25th cruise with Carnival. Third, where did you eat your first day, it was on the LIDO DECK!!.
I did go to the dining room on the Inspiration and the food was not the best. The Destiny, Imagination, Fascination, Sensation and several other CCL ships do a far better job in the food department than the Inspiration.
And the "The New Caribbean" show stunk! They had a William Huhn look a like singing off key in Spanish and dancers who were as stiff as an ironing board, uncoordinated, and their timing was off. They were by far the worst I have ever seen in my 25 cruises with CCL.
