We are thinking of booking a cruise out of NY in mid to late August 2007. Basically 2 couples with their teenage kids. How are crowds on the ship (eating, poolside, etc.)? Is this a good choice for teenagers? I know these are probably very typical questions that have been asked a million times before, but if anyone could offer any advice......Thanks.

Carnival Miracle is a great ship with plenty to do for everyone. The food is great & it is one of my favorite ships. You'll have a ball!! Enjoy!

Sailed her last month and had a wonderful time.

The Miracle basically has the amenities of the Conquest class (except no fish n chips) with less walking and about 700 less people. A great flow.

Personally, I would not do an interior cabin with more than 3 people (preferably only 2). We have done a balcony, a 5A and an interior cabin on the last 3 Spirit class ships we have sailed and (to me) the interior cabin really seemed smaller than other class ships. We were on Deck 5 in an interior cabin, Deck 5 for the balcony and Deck 4 for the 5A.

The number of teenagers will depend on when school goes back into session in your surrounding states. Our school starts the first week of August, but some don't start until Labor Day.

They do have Club O2 activities that last the entire week.

We never found the Lido deck overcrowded. The number of folks by the pool is hard to predict. That depends on the age of the passengers.

Have a great cruise!

We did the Miracle in April. You should not have any issues with crowds, but that is a different port than I sailed, so I am not sure if that will make a difference. The Miracle is sailing out of Tampa right now.
