So the Holiday won't be sold in April 2009? I assumed the terminal will be shut down for at least a little while to upgrade the gangway and other things. But I guess not. I wonder what they plan to do about parking? The garage won't hold enough vehicles for the Fantasy.

I "heard" (for whatever that is worth) that it only takes 6 months to put up another parking garage.
I am not sure if Mobile will be without a ship for awhile; like Jacksonville when they swapped out the Celebration for the Fascination.

The link you provided claims there will be no break in service. But it also says the Fantasy is having balconies added. Where?
I "think" they meant that the Fantasy will offer MORE balconies than the Holiday did...just because if its size.
Glad to hear there will be no break in service.
I think that is REALLY important. Mobile has shelled out the bucks to make this happen...they deserve to get every port dollar they can.
I am delighted that this is going to happen. After the July cruise on Holiday, I decided four times on her was enough and I wasn't planning to return. Now I have a good reason to return to Mobile.
And wasn't it "convenient" to have the Fantasy in Mobile for the announcement. Why, it is almost like the temporary move from NOLA was done on purpose.
