I noticed the linked story didn't say what is going to happen at New Orleans...
When we were on the Holiday for the CC cruise, more than one crew member said the Holiday was being moved out in March 2009.. I wonder if they are just postponing that until November? Still a lot of questions to be answered. I guess they proved to themselves that a Fantasy class ship can make the turn in the turning basin. Maybe a bigger ship for the Big Easy?

That announcement is set to come tomorrow.
(Tuesday)
We are all expecting it to be that the Triumph is coming to New Orleans.
And IF the Triumph comes to do a 7 day run...then we expect to hear the addition of the Sensation to do the 4/5/5.
Although there has been some talk of the Triumph handling it all with a combination of cruise lengths???
Dave, we cruised on the Holiday last Sept, and much like you it was enough. I have had 3 trips on her, but on the last trip the ole girl was starting to show her age. What surprises me tho is they are waiting until NOv 09 to replace her. They really are stretching her to the limits.
Macmom, I, too, recently cruised on the Holiday and I have to disagree with you. I found her to be aging very gracefully. To be honest, I thought she was in better shape that I ever remember her to have been in recent history. With the combination of Steve Cassel and Becca leading the cruise, it is a great voyage every time. I urge people to give the Holiday a shot before she relocates. If you don't mind a little swell motion (normal for a small ship), she will give you a memorable cruise. I am setting sail on her for a Thanksgiving cruise this year and I am looking forward to it.
oh I agree she has aged gracefully. no doubt about that, but it is almost like a football player trying to play with the young guys, still very talented, but not as young as they use to me.
for the money the Holiday has been the best cruise we have ever taken. She is just getting tired.
The Holiday's physical condition on our July cruise was good enough. What wasn't as good as I remembered was the food, and some poor service at a couple bars. I didn't starve or go thirsty, but it wasn't up to the usual Holiday standards.
I'm just burned out on the Holiday. Maybe it is from doing the ship just about every year since 2003.
I have to say one of my most memorable cruises was on the MS Holiday. Absolutely the best crew and service at the time I had ever had. I am surprised a little too they are stretching her through November next year without a drydock. I can say this, they have gotten their money's worth out of the gal.
