Greetings all! We are going on our first ever cruise and are looking for some input. We will be going to Western Caribbean to Cozumel and Calica/Playa del Carmen and want to know which Carnival shore excursions are worth the money and which ones to steer away from. We want to do a little beaching, a little ruins touring and a little shopping.

We will be going to Western Caribbean to Cozumel and Calica/Playa del Carmen and want to know which Carnival shore excursions are worth the money and which ones to steer away from. We want to do a little beaching, a little ruins touring and a little shopping.

In Cozumel, the Telhum ruins are very interesting. Xel-ha is a wonderful place for snorkeling and water activities. We also did a swim with the dolphins in Chanakaab (sp?) Park, pre-hurricane that was awesome. We haven't been to Playa Del Carmen in a long while, but I do remember a nice beach there--don't remember the name. Hopefully, someone else can suggest something. Have a wonderful cruise!!
