I'm with Dave and Neil: I'm on vacation, for crying out loud! If I want something, I'll order it and have it brought to me. I'm not going to run here for this and there for that--I do that at home.

There is so much to drink on the boat, I don't think you should worry your self about it. If you want a few bottles of water then you can buy them on the boat. The Celebration had large bottles for $1.75 or $2.25. (can't remebmer which was water price and which was soda price.) The pricing wasn't any worse then our local Quick Pick.

Good point Dr.! I am guilty of checking a shrinked wrapped 12 pack of water in a sports bag recently. I did insulate it with our swimwear. I didn't lug it to the pier, the porter took it out of my trunk and tagged it for me. It arrived just fine.

However, I did not think about it bursting and destroying someone's clothes. I would not want to be responsible for that. I am going to lug it as a carry-on next time. As long as Carnival allows me to bring water I am going to.

I don't like the ship's water and it doesn't like me. I know we have had many discussions about how pure the water is. For some reason it does not agree with me, so I try to limit my consumption.

As far as having something brought to me on vacation, I totally agree. And my Sail & Sign Statement can attest to that.
