RCCL Freedom or Carnival ?

Hi all
1st time cruise family booked on the freedom of the seas deluxe balcony aft corner cabin. leave April 2010.
Started looking @ Carnival and comparable ships w/super saver I can get a suite for less than the Freedom. Freedom looks an awesome ship,Have any of you Carnival lovers sailed the freedom?
Any help w/ your Carnival knowledge about comparable ships would be GREAT !!!

The Freedom Of The Seas has things that no Carnival ship can offer, so it really comes down to what you want from the cruise. The Freedom is a destination in itself and thus you pay more for it. If you just want a cruise with the usual offerings, then go with the price.

The Freedom class of ships are the only ones in any fleet which have a flow rider, H2O zone, skating rink, even a boxing ring.

I agree. We looked at taking a cruise with RCCL and I just didn't see paying the extra for things that I didn't think I would use. My husband and I have taken 2 cruises, both with Carnival, and loved both of them. We are even getting ready to book another one for October. Plus, we love the convenience of the VIP checkin by staying in a suite with Carnival, something to consider with a family, no standing in long lines. I hope I can be of any help to you. Thank you for the response. I think we will go with Carnival and get the suite. I did not Know about the V.I.P check-in very cool.
