Yes the Spirit is going in to Dry dock next month...so you and I will have a "brand new" ship when we sail! I am not going to Hawaii but am going to Alaska in May. Julie

Looking forward to our family cruise on the same date. I had read the odd comment that the ship was showing some signs of wear (gum in carpets, broken water slide etc) so I am pleased to see it is going to get some sprucing up before our trip. See you on the Lido deck!

we did the Spirit twice..once to the southern carribean and then again last year to Mexico. She is a nice ship but I guees it would be time for some cosmetic tweeking. It has all kinds of neet tapistries that Is if they don't get rid of them. She also has the wildest looking theater for the Las Vegas style shows. It is done up like king tut and Egypt with mummies and sarcophogus decor all over it. there is free ice dream on the main pool deck and a large dining room that takes up to floors.she also has a reservations only dining room that was 35.00 pp and is well worth the money tip!!!make sure you have about 2 hours for this experience it is well worth it.Don't forget the flourless cake for desert!
Is there anything else I can tell you about her.I can't comment on the ports of call or the destinations you are leaving from due to the fact that I have never been to either but I'll give the info I know on the ship as she was if that will help.
Regards from Canada

Thanks Med-A. We have 3 kids 14 and under, do you think it would be worthwhile to bring them to the reservations only dining room or it is better suited for adults only?
Also, how were the statrooms?
Thanks,
Dan

Hi,
I went on the Spirit last year and we are going back in 2 weeks. I do not know if your kids would particularly enjoy the Supper Club. It was definately an adult type atmosphere. Long dinner and slow romantic music for couples to dance to.

As for the staterooms, they are very nice. Lots of storage space. We only do balcony cabins. The Spirit is nice because it has adjoining staterooms.
