Paradise Island is beautiful & they will walk along the beach & sell you drinks in fresh coconuts. It's kinda neat. Our kids about 16 in our group went on a banana boat ride behind a boat. They had a ball & it only cost $100.00 for all of them. & Atlantis is absolutely beautiful. They have a neat aquarium in the hotel. If you get a driver right off of the ship in a van for many people or 2 vans if needed they will give you a history thru the hotel & such & stay a while there & then take you to paradise island for about 1hr or so then come back & get you. ITS great.

You can book a room at the Days Inn which is next to Atlantis and you can use the pools at Atlantis. We are doing this in January when we dock there on the Glory. We wont even go to the room, we'll just check in and get our wrist band.

First timer to Nassau I would recomend the Blue Lagoon, if is still open. Paradise Island is really just a strip of Hotels on the beach, with the Grand-Daddy of Atlantis. It is beautiful, but unless you are a guest you can only go into the Casino and walk their Promenade of shops. It is a sight to see though.

If you want to go out on your own, take a taxi, or long walk to the foot of the bridge to the left of Paradise Island Bridge. You will find the Tour Operators there. Ask for Dwight Smith.

If You want to get a real taste of the Bahamas. At least is what I do.

I "ain't" got much to say about Freeport without being negative. Since my first cruise when it looked liked an abandoned coal mine or oil refinery, it has improved and has a paved area now with alot of mall type vendors.

Do your Homework, and Best to you,

IslandCruz
