I will be in Freeport and Nassau Nov 15th-19th. I would like info on any excursions anyone would reccommend. Also, has anyone been on Carnival Celebration lately?
Thanks

Check out the port reviews for each port. Freeport is located here:

and Nassau is located here:

Hope that helps you.

I would vote for snorkeling on Rose Island while in Nassau or a visit to Paradise Island.

My husband and my son and I did the dolphin encounter in Nassau and had a great time! My brother and his family went over to the Atlantis to look around and they said it was beautiful. In Freeport all we did was get off of the boat at the dock and walk around the outdoor market that they had right there. We didn't go in to town there at all.

My vote is for Paradise Island! I went to Atlantis and while it is beautiful, it is a waste of time if you are not a guest there. Also stop by Senor Frogs before you go back to the ship. Had a BLAST there!

Go you Nassau Pirates museum on your own. My daughter and I walked to the museum and paid $12 total for both of us. On the ship I think it would have been $75 total. The museum is only 2 blocks north of the Straw Market.

We went took a speed boat to Blackbeard Cay to swim with the sting rays and spend the day at the beach. It was a great ride and the day was great. Beautiful area.

Freeport-the glass bottom boat ride is a waste of time and money. There was only 2 little holes for several people to gather around. Better to just stay on the boat or shop.

How's the snorkeling in Freeport? I was thinking about doing the 4 1/2 hour snorkeling excursion off a 48-foot catamaran.

Also, hows the dolphin swim in Nassau (? Blue Lagoon).

Im also concerned about the water temperature in the Bahamas, when I cruise there next March. Im hoping it wont be too cold.

In March, the water temps are going to be cool. If I remember correctly (used to life in south Florida) probably around 74 degrees. If that's "too cold" for you, then yes... I guess it depends on your definition of too cold.. For Floridians it was.

Can help you with the snorkeling in Freeport, never done it.

When You Get to Freeport Stay On the ship.

Nassau has a nice beach and you must see Atlantis but take a taxi ..not the boat ride. you will still have a long hot walk to atlantis after you get off the little boat.
