Only one million questions? Most new cruisers come here with 2 million.
The Carnival Capers (news letter that get delivered each night to your cabin) will detail EVERYTHING that will go on that day. There is also a kid's camp carnival versoin per age group for activies that will be going on for that age group. You can look through there and choose which things you want to do. There is typically more than one thing going on at a time that you may be interested in, so you can pick as choose.
As far as the shows, BDOG is basically correct. The Capers will indicate when a show is not for kids. Most of the shows involve the Carnival Dancers and there will be at least one "Las Vegas" style show where the costumes are almost non-existent. But this will be a "Parental guidance suggested" show. The truly R rated shows are late night and the kiddos will most like be asleep by the time these are running. Most of the comedy act will have a Family show early and then have an Adult only show at midnight.

I am doing the Spirit on Feb 3rd. I can hardly wait. We did our first cruise last year and all of the shows are great and the girls will love them. I think that the adult only shows are late at night so the girls will probably be asleep.
I HAVE SEEN WHERE YOU CAN GET AN ALL YOU CAN DRINK FOUNTAIN PASS FOR (WATERS, SODA, NON-ALCOHALIC DRINKS FOR $20. IS THIS FOR THE KIDS ONLY?

It's not for kids only, you can buy a soda card when you board. It's good for soft drinks and some juices. Water, Tea, and Coffee are always free. There are some times when juices are free (at the buffet and by the grill). There may also be lemonade available for free.
Welcome to the cruise family! My wife Judy and I are sailing on the Spirit March 15. This will be our 15th cruise, 10th on Carnival, and 5th to the Mexican Rivera. We sailed on the Pride, which is a sister ship to the Spirit. You'll love this ship. You'll find that everyone in these cruise chat rooms is very helpful, espically to first-time cruisers. Let us know how we can help. The more you know before you go the fun you'll have so don't be shy. Happy cruising.
Hi!We will be on the Spirit on the 7th of March(first time with Carnival-Disney wonder last year) and I would like to ask if the Supper Club is for adults only and if its not do they charge the same for a 3 yr old? Also what excursion do you recommend for us family of 3(hubby,myself and son)aside from going to the resorts ,shopping and beach? Thanks
cesto2, I've never seen children in the supper club before. They really cater to adults only dinning. I have a friend that'll know the answer. I'll contact him and get back with you. Here's a web site that might be helpful.
Just click on the city on the bottom left panel.
As far as excursions go, my wife and I go out on our own most of the time and don't book through Carnival (they're more expensive) One we do that has been very successful is this. Since the crew members go to these ports each week we usually ask them for their recommendations. Our dinning room waiter has always been the best resource. I've also asked at the information desk, but the people who serve you like your waiter or cabin steward are usually the best people to talk to since you already have a relationship with them.
hope this helps. I'll be back with the supper club info.
