Carnival Sensation - Any Comments?

I'm a first time cruiser. To those who have sailed on the Carnival Sensation, what did you like and not like about it and what should I avoid?

Husband & I sailed on Sensation out of Miami to Eastern Carib. back in '97. It was our 1st cruise & had a wonderful time. Met friends from other states we still keep in touch with. We also sailed on the Conquest June 2003 so I'm comparing the two. Food was okay on Sensation, better on Conquest. Service & shows were better on Sensation. Also, we thought the passengers were a little friendlier on the Sensation but that might just have been luck. Thought the Sensation was a little rocky at times & we were mid level. Actually, the ship was very rocky in the show room at night (can't remember the name of it now) but not unbearable. For a 1st time cruiser I would say go for it just to try it out. If you go on the larger ships 1st you may not want to go on one smaller. Have fun.

We were on Sensation May 2003 and loved it.
We sailed out of Port Tampa to Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Have beauitful weather and smooth sailing.

The ship was clean and the crew was always painting or clean her.

The dining room food was good and the waiter's staff was great!!! As well as George the Greek in the dining room.

Also a very easy ship to find your way around. Just study the deck plans before going.

The shows were ok and the Cruise Director was very funny.

Go to the shore tours talks in the main show lounge and get there early and sit up front.

They sometimes give things away and throw things out in the crowd.
