A few years back on a RCCL ship we were upgraded from a regular assigned outside cabin to an owner's suite! What a surprise when we got the the ship. When I questioned the cruise agent about it, they told me that a group had booked a set of cabins and they needed our cabin so since we were past passenger, they upgraded us. Needless to say, we didn't complain.
