If the ship is docked in Nassau all night and it is "formal night" will they open at some point? I know everything is usually not open when docked in port, but it will be boring that night on the ship if nothing opens up. Or is it just "shut down" during the day?????
Thanks!!!!!!

The casinos cannot open while in port. There is a casino in Nassau on the island. So you can still enjoy hitting the casino if you'd like, just not on the ship.
I hate to disagree with Neil, but while it is usually the case that the casino is closed I *think* ships overnighting at Nassau have an exemption and are allowed to open the casino at night. Perhaps someone else can verify this.
Thank you all for responding! I really hate to only do a 3-day cruise but I think it's going to be my only option. But I would have been very disappointed if the casino was not open at night while in Nassau since we are on the ship after dinner.
I stand corrected. Sorry about that, shows you can't always go by the info in your system. There are exceptions to every rule apparently. Thanks for posting the right information.
That is very true! I have called with the same question, called back to verify and got another person with a different answer. Wait, it get's better, called again to try to get a consensus about the answers, and another different answer.
It is probably like that with alot of large corporations. Unless it is a pressing matter, I only call one certain person now who has been with the company for a long time.
Getting back to the casino question. Does anyone recall when they opened the slots? I think it was either 5pm or 7pm the last time I was there.
