Thanks for correcting me on The Freedom. The last thing I want to do is put out wrong information, is why I tried to say I may be wrong. I was going by memory of things I had read, and guess the memory is not what it use to be I got Freedom confused with 130,000 ton plans I had read about, which to me would be a new class representing a 20,000 ton difference, and will be interesting to see if they market it as a new class. Also I had read about the new theater screen on Freedom that might have contributed to my thinking. I did read that Splendor would be 112,000 tons with changes in the spa and childrens area, and mid ship pool making up most of the new tonnage. Again, I apologize for the mistake to everyone and I appreciate the tactful way in which it was noted.

No problem. The cruise lines don't make it easy when they "modify" an existing ship class. (like they did with the Destiny)

i dont think that theater screen thing is new. if u r refering to the pool side screen. cuz i was on the triumph on dec 05' and they had it. great feature by the way

The screens on the Triumh are not the same. The theatre screen on the Carnival Liberty is a 274 sq ft giant screen. It is the first ship to have it. It is called the "Sea Side Theatre" The Carnival Freedom will also have the screen.

Layouts are basically the same, but sizes and the details of decoration vary. You can look for subtle differences, which there are a lot of, but it sounds like you're focusing on the "big picture" instead, in which case they will seem to be all alike.
