Thanks again, Dave, for the info! That's another really good reason to just keep booking cruises! They just treat you better and better!

So glad to see your postings more and more. Glad your wife is healing from her accident! There are lots of folks praying!

About the iron on the ships...seems like we were told not to take them aboard. They didn't want anyone leaving one on and causing a fire. I will definitely consider the service on the ship this trip. Do you know the charges for steaming or pressing a woman's formal? And I'm sure gratuity is added also, right? Thanks!

I only wish Carnival Corp. would combine their previous cruiser programs. I am platinum on Carnival but need a few more on Princess to achieve the highest level. If they counted all my cruises on CCL owned lines...I would be in tall cotton.

No problem 'Islandcruz' glad to assist.

Yes, you will get priority tendering if they have to tender in Cozumel. What I would recommend is to stop by the purser's desk, there is a separate 'Platinum' counter that you can talk to someone about getting your tender tickets if you have no excursions booked. If you purchase an excursion thru CCL, they will have you meet in the show lounge. From there, you are taken to deck 0 and board your tender (if applicable) before anyone else leaves the ship.

This was the best cruise vacation we have ever had. We truly had a wonderful time. Thank you for the b-day wishes. I appreciate it. Have a great day,

I am booked in a Cat 12 suite on the Spirit departing Hawaii in 2007. I hear the perks that come with a suite are great. Besides the VIP check in does anyone know what else goes with it?

what perks come with a suite? Are they worth the extra cost? I mean other than priority check in?

We've had Cat. 12 suites on two Carnival cruises and I don't recall any perks other than getting on and off the ship quicker. I got those cabins for the extra space they offered, and the larger balconies.

Billy, Thanks for the info. I had read some of the Platinum benefits would be implemented in phases. I am glad to hear they have the tendering implemented and the info. desk.

Example, they are supposed to have special luggage tags, I got the regular tags, but my Docs say to proceed to VIP check-in.

As Dave said, and to my knowledge the suites only come with VIP check-in not the other platinum perks.

Yes, Dave is correct. You are able to participate in VIP ck/in upon arrival and debark. and will be amazed at how awesome it is. But being a Platinum status cruiser with CCL does provide extra "goodies" so to speak.

When you arrive at the terminal in Miami, there will be a separate queue outside that will direct VIP guests into the terminal. A CCL rep will greet you and escort you to a private office and you will ck/in there. Once done, you walk pass the long line of people waiting to go thru security, go thru yourselves, and then proceed upstairs, get your sign/sail card, then on the ship. It is that fast. Trust me. This service rocks!!! Have a wonderful time. Be sure to give the Valor a hug/kiss for me. LOL!!
