L.A. - Fun? To Do?

We have about 6 hours to do something in LA once our cruise is done. (sad about the cruise be done already and we have not even gone yet!) I have already paid Carnival for the transfers to & from the airport. Our flight leaves at 7:00, so we do not have to get there until 5:00. What would you do? 3 kids: 3, 5 & 10. Are they going to kick me off the boat at a certain time? Can we hang out for awhile?

LA is big. The airport alone is huge. You can hire a taxi (unbelievably expensive) to drive you around. Everywhere you drive there are traffic jams that could last for literally hours. I would not leave the airport. There is a lot to see at LAX alone. There's food, people-watching, huge planes arriving. In my opinion, you're taking a hell of a chance missing your flight if you leave with only 6 hours to tour. The tour that the ship offers will never have you back for your flight home. This airport is a city in itself. Play it safe.

Zita, I forgot to add.... the debarkation off of Pride on Sunday was very casual and relaxed. People were still on board and eating breakfast at 11 a.m. I'm used to being rushed off. Didn't happen on Pride.
