Thanks for your post. It has lots of good information in it. Personally I do not care if I have a room with a window in it or not, it not that big of a deal for me. I look at it this way, I am going with a postive attitude that I am going to have a good tine, and that I do not plan to spend much time in my room, and that is only when I am partied out and I need a nap...lol..I can use that extra money on shopping!!

Wow...did you take all these Cruises!!!
No, I just made up a big list to make myself feel superior...."here's your sign".
(hope you watch Dave Engval or you won't get that joke at all)
We have been cruising as a family of four since 1998 and we love it. Lately it has just been the 3 of us since the oldest is now in college and misses some from time to time. A fact he is not real happy about.
All cruises have their ups and downs...the complainers always forget the UPS and concentrate on the DOWNs....It's the UPS that make it such a great experience....A day without out cruising is a day without sunshine...or something like that:-)...Peace and enjoy your cruise....

I think that is great!!! I am sure my first cruise will not be my last!!! There is 4 of us going this time, and a friend of mine wants to go on a Alaskan Cruise next year! I heard that Alasja is beautiful!

It is to bad that the few valid complaints won't ever get addressed, because he chose to write such a childish letter. Carnival does what any company does when they get a letter from someone with a starfish up their fanny....
I know...I did not pay any attention to the letter at all. I am planning on my Cruise and I am not going to let anyone spoil it for me. I am going to have fun, fun, fun....lol...I have watching the travel channel and they had several shows on there about cruising, and it has done nothing for me but made me even more excited..I think I will end up having to take a couple of more days off work when I get back just to recoup. I was so surprised that my passport arrived today in the mail...I just applied for them on the 13th!! That was fast!
ok..I am going to stop rambling!
Hey LHP..sorry to bother you again with questions, but I have another. Of all the Cruise Ships you been on, which one is your favorite?
I know you have alot of comments already. Here are a few more things. At the buffet restaurant they have fountains with lemonaide, punch, water and coffee and tea 24 hours. So if you don't want to order and pay you can get this anytime. They also have dinner at night in this restaurant if you don't want to eat in the main dining room one night. The time is usually 6-9 p.m. You also can order room service 24 hours a day. This is free also. Sandwiches, salads, deserts, pizza, etc. We do this alot. They are usually there within 15 minutes. The menu will be in the book in your room under services. They have shampoo, soap and even a basket with raizors, aspirin, tums, etc, complimentary. They do have coke and water in the room, but they will charge you if you take it. There is a safe in the room, free of charge so you can lock up all your personal items. You will use your sail and sign card they give you for your room key, charge card and id. You can go to the pursers desk any time and get a print out of your bill so you can keep up with it better. The tip is usually added in at 10 person guest per day and broke down by waiter, asst. waiter, room steward, etc. However, you can adjust this at the pursers desk before the end of the trip. Price wise, it is cheaper to cruise Sept thru lst of december and January thru first half of May. Holiday and June thru August is peak pricing. I cruised in February last year. It probably would have been fine sunny weather but a storm was brewing and one of the days we couldn't go out on the deck at all. You never know what will happen. I have cruised 19 times and have had very few occurances like this. However, when you are only going on a 3 night cruise, one bad day hurts. I am sure you will have a great time. I check prices online at travelocity.com and cruises.com then I call my travel agent. She lives in Miami and always gives me the best prices compatable to the ones online. The prices direct to the cruise lines are usually higher. Check several sites before calling. Usually they have to add gov't fees to the price online. Have a safe and wonderful trip.
