i have a stateroom on empress deck that looks like it will be under or near under the smokestack. will there be a lot of noise from engine here?

jkh, Welcome to Cruise-Chat!

I have been on the Empress deck several times and don't recall any engine noise. When docking you might hear the side thrusters. I have not had one directly near the funnel though. Which ship and cabin is it?

We were on this deck in April , we loved it and had no noise you should be fine, Enjoy
