Has anyone sailed on the Carnival Valor? How is the boat? We are traveling to the Bahamas 6/17/07 and was wondering what it was like. Thanks...

We just returned from the Valor, Western sailing,5/27-6/3/07. There were 14 of us, we all liked this ship very much. Some people mentioned they felt the decor was a bit over the top, however we did not. It was very patriotic and "American" themed.

This was our 7th cruise so have others to compare to. We found most of the staff on this ship to be friendly and efficient (not always true with all cruises). The ship is still new "feeling" and clean.

We enjoyed the Piano Bar - Mark was the entertainer and did a great job. He even played on his day off (last minute decision) and the bar staff came in on their day off to work. We all tipped them well.

We also always eat in the supperclub one time during the week and this cruise was no exception. The food and service was wonderful as always.

The only improvement I would like to see Carnival make is to change up their menus and some of their entertainment. They have been the same for years and it would be nice to have some new menu items and entertainment. Even the supperclub menu on the last 3 ships (over the last 3 years) we have been on have the same menus.

Feel free to ask any other questions you may have.
