Hi Leta,
We will be in that same cabin, sailing March 25, 2007. We have been on ten cruises, and had a cabin like that before. We liked it. It's kinda neat sitting there as you leave ports. The only problem we had was in the morning finding a few cigarette butts on the balcony from numbskulls that tossed them off the ship the night before. It's nice you're starting on your first c ruise with a balcony. We had our first balcony about four cruises ago and now want one all the time.
Thanks....I'll be waiting to hear from you!
It isn't our first cruise, though...we were on the Victory in 2004 for our 50th wedding anniversary and then on the Grand Princess in 2005. Both times we stayed in about the same area on the side...but, we started out with a balcony and decided right off that that was the way to go!!!! Balconies for us!!!!!
First of all, congratulations on the 50-plus years!!! I am curious to which ship you had the best time on, the Victory or Grand Princess?

We really did enjoy BOTH ships. The Victory was our first cruise ever, so naturally we really liked everything about her. The Grand Princess is a beautiful ship...not glitzy fancy, but very classy in every respect. We did enjoy the "movies under the stars" on the Grand, though. We are going on Carnival again because our son and his family invited us to join them on the Southern Caribbean cruise out of San Juan, so we didn't have to make a decision as to which ship to take on our third cruise. We love cruising!
