Cozumel Questions

My daughter and I will be going on our 1st cruise 9/9/04 on Carnival sensation. This will take us to cozumel. I am booking my own excursion not through the cruise line and was wondering about money. I am planning on taking a taxi to chaknaab Park and simming with the sea lions then taking a taxi back to the pier. I have prepaid for the sea lion swim but was wondering if the taxi's and the park take American money?

Does anyone know if I can pay the taxi and spend at the park with american money and not peso's?

been there 3 times once at an all inclusive resort and 2 cruises, and yes they do take american money at the park cabs and also all the stores

last ime we were there the cab ride was about 6 or 7 dollars and we tipped him a couple of dollars the park is not to far from town about 3 miles or so
