Hi.
The Club 02 question made me think of a burning question that I have as well.
My son is 12 years old and I am a little worried that he might be bored. He loved
Camp Carnival last year but he was in the 9-11 year old group and they had lots to do. But I am worried because now that he is in the 12 and over group (teen) they are going to do alot of dances and such (he is still alittle shy about girls, etc.).
He does love video games but I want him to do so much more when we are away. Anyone know?
Thanks.

My daughter is 13. She is now "eligible" to hang out with her 17 year old sister at the older events. Up until this year, she has always wanted to go to CC. Last year there were other boys and girls her age in the 9-11 yr. old group. He won't be alone. They do more age appropriate activities with them, like video games, pizza party, ice cream socials, swimming under the stars. There are even excursions now just for CC kids.

Camp Carnival's age group for 13 year olds is the 12-14 year old group. Your daughter won't be able to hang too much with your 17 year old daughter since she will have Club O2, and they are really strict on the activities about letting the kids under 15 participate with the older teens. Camp Carnival is now split up in age groups: 2-5 Toddlers, 6-8 Juniors, 9-11 Intermediate and 12-14 teens. Then the 15-17 year olds for Club O2. Until my daughter turned 15 she was not allowed to participate in the older activities, they actually checked for ID's, also 15-17 year olds do shore excursions and the younger kids cannot participate in these.

My kids all enjoyed Camp Carnival this time around. I had the following age groups: 6-8, 9-11, 12-14 & 15-17. My only advice is this: try your best to make it to the parent meeting the first night. If you can't, (it was in the middle of our dinner time) then stop by Camp Carnival ASAP to pick up their version of the capers, there's one for each age group and it lists the activities for the entire week. My 12 year old keeps saying he wishes he hung out in the teen disco from day 1, it took me walking by with him and asking "don't you know that girl from the pool??" for him to actually go in. They all had a blast & my oldest informed me I'm not allowed to book cruises on anything but Carnival.
