Welcome to Cruise Chat. The Holiday is a very popular ship. Several of us here on Cruise Chat just went on this ship in July. If you are a first time cruiser the things you need to know about this ship are she is the oldest and smallest ship in the Carnival fleet. Compared to the newer ships she doesn't have the bells and whistles, and you don't have as large a selection of lounges. That being said; there is no reason why you shouldn't enjoy a cruise on the Holiday. The food, shows, and service are all good on the Holiday. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy. Have a great cruise.

Cruising is like picking an automobile. One model might work with one person whereas the next person might want a few more or a few less options. I prefer the smaller ships so it's a blessing that the Holiday and Fantasy are located so close to where I live. I know that is about to change but I can enjoy it while I can. The wife and I are booked on the Holiday with her parents departing on Thanksgiving Day Nov. 27. Then, she and I going alone on the Holiday for the Dec.1 sailing. It's a short back to back at only 9 days but I am still looking forward to it. I guess in answer to your question... I was not on that particular sailing but I always enjoy my time on the Holiday.
