Even "old dogs" can enjoy a new trick!!

Just booked our first B2B on the Imagination.
Both are 5 day and each cruise has a different itinerary ... so no repeat ports!!!

LHP- Sweet! I've always wanted to do that but it always seemed like the shorter cruises went to the same ports. Like the longer cruises, you can do a 7 day Eastern and then a 7 day western on the same ship.

Did you get the same cabin? What are the intineraries?

Yes, we will have the same cabin (M245) which is right next door to the cabin we had on the Fantasy last week.

The ports for the first leg are "Grand Turk" (never been there) Half Moon Cay (never been there) Nassau . The second leg is Jamaica (been there to many times ~ day on the ship) and Grand Cayman. There is 1 sea day on the first leg and 2 sea days on the 2nd leg.

Looking forward to my first time to be on a ship for 10 days. (even with a "break" in the middle)

Here is a question - do you have to leave the ship & go through customs only to get back on again at the end of the 1st segment?

Wow, I've always wanted to to that.

I was on the Legend last november and there was a couple doing a B2B. They had to pack up, get off and back on.

I have too! And had always wondered about the procedure. So I asked a while back. Depending on the Embarkation port the procedures may vary. All B2B guests have to go through Customs/Immigration in the cruise terminal.

If they have the same cabin the luggage can be left. If one does not have the same cabin they need to check in with the Purser's Information Desk and make arrangements before the Embarkation of the second cruise so they can move the luggage.

This is my current understanding of it.

Dwayne- That sounds correct. I can't see the cruise ship making you take your luggage off even if you have different cabins. But, I also would do a B2B unless I could book the same cabin for both. If you have to get off the ship for customs, then you probably only need to bring your passports and declarations card. I assume that they could check you in at the Pursers desk for the second leg? Or maybe they service the B2B folks first so you don't have to wait in line.

We have the same cabin. We will be leaving our stuff in the cabin.

I have been told that we will be instructed to meet up at a specific location around 10AM. A Carnival rep will escort us off the ship.

Since we are VIP, we will go to the VIP lounge and be issued our new Sail and Sign cards and then escorted back on the ship.

We will have to go to the Muster Drill again.

Nothing like getting to go to the Muster Drill twice in a week....just remember...DO NOT BLOW ON THE WHISTLE!! LOL.

I couldnt help but get tickled when we were on the disney cruise, of course there are LOTS of kids on there, kids were blowing on the whistle and playing, I told one mother, (who should have figured this out herself) that the whistle had not only been blown by her child but every child who had been in her cabin in the last many many cruises...You should have seen the look on her face, she grabbed it from her kids and told them not to put it there again...too funny...You would think people had enough sense to know this.
