It is a large (110,000 gross tons)ship with fairly large standard cabins (185 square feet for a standard cabin). It is fine ship for a first cruise-they have 24 hour pizza, an enclosed pool (if the weather is not cooperative). It is a good ship for a first cruise.
I took my mom on Carnival Victory in Feb 2003 (Eastern Caribbean) out of Miami. I love the Victory - it was so much better than the Elation and Celebration and I would highly recommend it to anyone cruising.
Thanks for the info. We leave on January 8th and just received our documents today. We booked a balcony guarantee and was upgraded to the panorama deck. I'm so excited 29 days to go!!!
