Are jeans allowed in the dining room? I've only been on one cruise before and it was in the summer so I never needed jeans. However, cruising in February I know it will be cold the first night on the ship so I'm trying to figure out what to wear. I do have crop pants I plan on wearing but my daughters wanted to know if jeans would be appropriate for them that first night.
On the first night pretty much anything goes except for shorts. Actually, many lines say that jeans are inappropriate for even attire but I've never seen it enforced. I always get amused by RCCL saying no jeans at dinner, yet they have a country/western theme night. Guess what I wear that night?
So long as they are neat, there shouldn't be a problem the first night. In fact, Carnival doesn't explicity exclude jeans from dining room attire. The FAQ section on Carnival's Web site states that "Shorts, t-shirts, tank tops and bathing attire are not permitted in the Dining Room during dinner."
