My husband and I are going on our first cruise in April 2007 on the ship Holiday. Any sugestions for first timers. What is the Holiday like. Anyone else booked then. thanks ...Figgy

I think that you picked a pretty good ship for a first cruise. I took wife, daughter, dad and step-mom on the Holiday last June, Dad and s-m are both hooked on cruising now.
Steve (the cruise director) is a little odd, but he's really good, don't miss the shows in the main lounge.

Marty and Dave: On the Holiday, how many will show up wearing Tuxedos on formal night. I have always taken mine but seriously considering leaving it behind this time.

Seriously, while you see several tuxes on the Holiday the more common thing is a suit. I'm not bringing one.

Good! I hate wearing the darn things, except the t-shirt kind aren't too bad.

I think I saw ONE guy wearing a tux, he and his brand new wife were on their honeymoon. Their first cruise, honeymoon... I thought it odd that they were vertical (man, she was HOT!), anyway, Holiday is a laid back ride. I hope Celebration in June is the same easy-going atmoshpere.

Hopefully they just came out for air! I am really looking forward to cruising on this ship, especially without a tux! Now if i can just get away with shedding the tie on formal night, all will be perfect!
