Hello. I'm a newbie and I couldn't find anything relating to my question, so sorry if it's been discussed. Has anyone here put the $50/$100 deposit on their next cruise while on board Carnival? I was on the Fascination last week and decided to deposit my next trip. My sail and sign appeared on my credit card today, but the extra $100 wasn't there. Does this normally take longer? Can we transfer the booking to our TA?
You TA should be able to get credit for your booking. Typcially cruises booked while on a cruise like that will. You may need to giv eyour booking number/info to your travel agent for them to apply for it. Also, that way they can help you with any further booking details.
As far as it showing up on your Sign and Sign, I don't think it will. It should show up as a seperate charge item. Did you actually book a cruise or just "reserve" a cruise to be determined at a later date? Because (and I'm not sure how Carnival handles it because I have not done it) you can put down a deposit for a cruise and get on board credit fro doing so, and then choose which cruise at a later date. Kind of like a cruise voucher. So the actual charge may not be applied until you book the cruise.

We did not actually book one, we just put a deposit down on a future booking for onboard credits. So we don't have a booking number or a confirmation number. I'm assuming Carnival will be in touch, which may be assuming a lot, I guess. I won't start to really worry until the charge appears on my card.
So you basically paid for a cruise "voucher" which will ge tyou the on board credits for that cruise. Contact your TA and tell them you have it and then they can help book the cruise and get credit for the booking. I don't know how long it will take but Carnival WILL be in touch about booking that cruise. But you have time to decide what and where.

Just a quick update. I received my certificate in the mail from Carnival yesterday.
For anybody else who chooses to do this while on board, I was told there was no time limit for booking the next cruise, but there is. The certificate says you must book the next cruise within 18 months. Just FYI.
